In local football results on Saturday Exmouth Town kept up the pressure on league leaders Tavistock Utd with a well deserved 4-1 victory over Bitton AFC at the ADG stadium . Finding themselves unlucky to be 1-0 down at the break town stepped up a gear in the second half and goals from Ben Steer and a hat trick from the ever reliable Jordan Harris saw them bag another valuable three points .
In the peninsula league east Sidmouth town played out a scoreless draw at Elburton Villa while Honiton town beat Dartmouth Utd 2-1 away at Long Cross but Axminster town lost by 4 goals to 2 to Crediton Utd at Lord's meadow .
At Washbrook meadow it was a case of unlucky for some where Ottery St Mary were hammered 13-0 by promotion chasing Torpoint Athletic and at Speeds meadow Cullompton Rangers were beaten 5-3 by visiting Newton Abbot spurs.
In the Scott Richards Devon league Budleigh Salterton drew 1 -1 with Alphington at Greenway lane while Topsham town beat North Molton at the Coronation ground by 2 goals to 1 .
Finally in the Joma Devon and Exeter league premier division Dawlish Utd were beaten 3-1 at home to Okehampton Argyle second eleven but Beer Albion managed a 1-0 victory over Elmore reserves at Fursebreak .In division one Lympstone Utd lost 2-0 to Topsham second's at the marine camp while division two side Exmouth Spartans were well beaten by 5 goals to 1 at Exeter University 4th eleven . Lastly In the ninth division there were no fixtures for either Exmouth Rovers or Ex Don's
