In local Football on Saturday Exmouth Town kept up the pressure on league leaders Tavistock Utd with a 2-1 victory over visiting Keynsham at Southern Road, Jordan Harris gave them the lead just before the break and Arron Denny extended the lead on the 63rd minute with a superb volley.

In local Football on Saturday Exmouth Town kept up the pressure on league leaders Tavistock Utd with a 2-1 victory over visiting Keynsham at Southern Road.
It was a tough game even though Keynsham were down to nine men a one point after a sending off and a sin bin offence a couple of minutes before half time.
Town scored on the stroke of half time with a Jordan Harris free kick .
The second half was a bitty affair and Town had to wait for the 63 rd minute when a shot from Arron Denny put town 2 up.
The plucky visitors pulled a goal back in the 73rd Minute but Town closed out the points.
Another decent crowd of 256 witnessed the win and next Saturday Town play away at Bitton, another to tough game.

In the Peninsula League East Sidmouth Town had a some what easier than expected 6-1 victory over visiting Dartmouth Utd but still remain next to bottom and Axminster Town were well beaten 4-0 by promotion favourites Torpoint Athletic at Tiger Way.

Ottery St Mary were hammered 9-0 at Washbrook Meadow by in form Brixham Utd and Cullompton Rangers beat bottom club Stoke Gabriel 3 goals to 2.

In the Parsons League Cup Crediton Utd reached the next round after beating Honiton Town 5-3 after extra time.

In the Scott Richards Devon League Budleigh Salterton beat North Devon side Braunton by 3 goals to 2 at Greenway Lane and Topsham Town had a 1-0 victory at the Coronation Ground over visiting Liverton Utd.

In the Joma Devon and Exeter League Premier Division Dawlish Utd lost 5-1 at home to Exeter University Seconds and Beer Albion went down by 3 goals to 1 at Elmore Reserves at Horsdon Park while in Division One Lympstone Utd had a 3-1 victory over Newtown Seconds at the Marine Camp and Exmouth Spartans drew 1-1 against Teignmouth Reserves in Division Two at the Commons Ground. Finally Ex Don's had a thumping 10-0 victory over Starcross Don's Second Eleven on Commons Pitch 2 but Exmouth Rovers could only manage a 3 all draw at Whipton and Pinhoe Reserves.
