Exmouth Town kept up the pressure on Southern League One South leaders Sholing with a convincing 4-0 victory at Thornhill Park home of Slimbridge Utd.

In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town kept up the pressure on Southern League One South leaders Sholing with a convincing 4-0 victory at Thornhill Park home of Slimbridge Utd.

In a very even first half a goal from Levi Landricombe gave town a slight advantage and after the break two quick goals from substitute 17 year old Joshua Bissett and one from Jordan Harris sealed a good performance away from home for another 3 points.

In the Peninsula League East Sidmouth Town were well beaten at Bovey Tracey by 4 goals to 0, Teignmouth lost 1-0 to visitors Crediton Utd at Coombe Valley, Honiton Town went down 2-1 at home to Newton Abbot Spurs and Axminster Town also lost by 2-0 to Ivybridge at Tigers Way but Cullompton Rangers had better luck winning 4-2 over Torrington at Speeds Meadow.

In the A&S Devon League Budleigh Salterton easily beat Ottery St Mary by 6 goals to 0 at Greenway Lane but bottom club Topsham Town went down 4-0 to Barnstaple Towns Second Eleven.

In the County Cup Beer Albion progress to the next round by beating Newton Abbot Spurs Reserves away by 3 goals to 0.

Finally in the Devon and Exeter Leagues, Dawlish Town were knocked out of the County Cup by Elmore Second Eleven by 5 goals to 2 while in Division One Lympstone Utd lost 3-0 to Beer Albion Reserves at Fursebreak and East Budleigh lost by 6 goals to 1 at home to Bow AAC.

In Divison Two Exmouth Spartan's beat visitors Cranbrook 3-1 at Warren View, Exmouth Rovers won 5-2 at Hatherleigh Second Eleven in Divison 7 with Ex Dons overcoming Starcross Don's Reserves 4-1 away in Divison 8.
