In local football on Saturday in the Southern League One South Exmouth Towns poor run of form continued when they were well beaten at league leaders Sholing by 4 goals to 0.

Finding themselves two down before the break a further couple of goals in the second half including a penalty completed the home sides dominance which could have been more but for an excellent performance from Robbie Powell in the Town's goal .

In the Peninsula League East Crediton Utd won the top of the table clash beating Ivybridge 2-0 at Lord's Meadow and remain second behind leaders Okehampton Argyle. Sidmouth Town had a surprising 4-1 victory at Newton Abbot Spurs while Cullompton Rangers came away with a 2-1 win in North Devon over Torridgeside FC but Honiton Town went down by the same score at Plymouth Marjons.

In the A&S Devon League Beer Albion stay top after a 2-1 victory at Feniton and Topsham Town improved their league position with an excellent 2 goals to 1 win over second placed Newtown at the Coronation Ground.

In the Devon Cup Budleigh Salterton easily reached the next round with a comfortable 6-1 victory over Newton Abbot Spurs second eleven at Greenway lane.

Finally in the Devon & Exeter Leagues, in the Premier Division Colyton beat Sandford by 3 goals to 2 at Peace Memorial Ground while in Divison Ine Lympstone Utd also won 3-2 over Bow AAC at the Marine Camp.

In Divison Two Exmouth Spartan's narrowly lost in a high scoring game by 5 goals to 4 to Feniton Seconds at the Commons Ground but Exmouth Rovers hammered Exeter University 8th team 7-1 at Ducks Meadow in Division 7 and in Divison 8 Ex Dons beat visitors North Tawton 3-2 at the Commons Pitch 2.
