Exmouth Town moved back up into the play off positions in the Southern League One South with a hard earned victory over visitors Melksham Utd by 2 goals to nil at Southern Road.

In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town moved back up into the play off positions in the Southern League One South with a hard earned victory over visitors Melksham Utd by 2 goals to nil at Southern Road with both strikes coming in the second half through a brace from man of the match Ben Steer.

In the Peninsula League East Cullompton Rangers were beaten at Speeds Meadow 2-0 by league leaders Okehampton Argyle, Sidmouth Town drew 1-1 at Plymouth Marjons and Crediton Utd were also held 1 all at Lord's Meadow by bottom club Bridport AFC.

Honiton Town lost 1-0 at home to Elburton Villa while Teignmouth FC progress to the next round of the cup 3-1 at Cornish side Dobwalls.

In the A&S Devon league leaders Beer Albion beat visitors Appledore 2-1 at home and Budleigh Salterton had an easy 5-1 victory at Greenway Lane over Thorverton but in the League Cup Ottery St Mary were knocked out going down 5-2 at Paignton Saints.

Finally in the Devon and Exeter League Premier Divison Colyton Utd were beaten 3-0 at the Peace Memorial Ground by Exeter University Second Eleven and Dawlish Utd lost 4-1 to visiting Alphington while in Division 2 Tipton St John were held to a 2 all draw by visitors Cranbrook.

In Divison 7 leaders Exmouth Rover's were surprisingly beat 3-2 by Hatherleigh Reserves at the Commons but in Divison 8 Ex Dons won 2-0 at Bampton Reserves.

In the League Cup Upottery were knocked out 4-1 at Exeter University Third Eleven.
