In the Scott Richards Devon League Topsham Town's climb up the league came to a halt when they lost 3-2 at Exeter University but Budleigh Salterton picked up valuable points with a 2-1 victory at Newtown and Teignmouth overcame Alphington by 3 goals to 2 at Church Road.
In the Joma Devon and Exeter Premier Lwague Beer Albion were beaten 1-0 at second placed Thorverton while in the First Division Lympstone Utd went down 2-1 at Sandford and East Budleigh were held to a 3 all draw at home to Alphington Reserves.
In Division Two Exmouth Spartans had a deserved 3-1 win over Tedburn St Mary at Barley Park but Otterton were well beaten by 8 goals to 1 at Newton St Cyres.
