In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town were held to a 2 all draw at Southern Road by visiting Street but still moved to the top of the Western League on goal difference with Tavistock and Cornish side Mousehole all on 60 points.

Levi Landricombe gave town the lead on 39 mins and should have increased the lead soon after but two goals from the visitors gave them a surprise 2-1 lead until Max Gillard scored on 80 mins to seal town a point in a disappointing result in front of a crowd of over 300.

In the Peninsula League East there were three good away victory's for our local sides with Sidmouth Town winning 2-0 at Torrington, Elmore also beating Torridgeside FC 2-0 and Axminster Town overcoming Newton Abbot Spurs by 1 goal to nil.

In the Scott Richards Devon League there were no games on Saturday but Budleigh Salterton lost 2-0 to North Molton on Wednesday at Greenway Lane.

Finally in the Joma Devon and Exeter Premier League Dawlish Utd beat Elmore Reserves 2-1 at Horsdon Park with Beer Albion overcoming Sidmouth Town Seconds by 1 goal to nil at Manston Road while in Division One Lympstone Utd had a much needed win beating Hatherleigh Town 1-0 at the Marine Camp but East Budleigh lost by the same score at Wellington Second Eleven.

In Division Two Exmouth Spartans lost 2-1 at Teignmouth Reserves but Tipton St John had a thumping 6-0 victory over University Fouth Team at Duckes Meadow.

There were no games for our local sides in Division Nine.
