In local football on saturday Exmouth Town were held to a goalless draw at Cornish side Mousehole which allowed Tavistock Utd to regain top spot in the western league premier division.

In local football on saturday Exmouth Town were held to a goalless draw at Cornish side Mousehole which allowed Tavistock Utd to regain top spot in the western league premier division .In windy conditions at Thomson road neither side could get an  advantage and a share of the points on the day seemed a fair result. In the peninsula league east Sidmouth town also found the conditions difficult at Simmons Park where league leaders Okehampton Argyle adapted better. on their home turf and ran out convincing winners by 4 goals to nil

 

Axminster town beat Bovey Tracey 1-0 at Mill Marsh park but Honiton town had to settle for a 1 all draw at home to Cullompton Rangers . In the Scott Richards Devon league Topsham town had a convincing 5-0 victory over Alphington at the Coronation ground and now face Budleigh Salterton in the league cup on Wednesday night at Greenway lane . Lastly in the Joma Devon and Exeter premier league Beer Albion had a comfortable 3-0 win over Ottery st Mary seconds at Fursbreak but Dawlish Utd were hammered 8-0 at Exeter University seconds while in the first division Lympstone Utd lost 4-1 at Newtown reserves but East Budleigh eased past Crediton reserves 2-0 at home. In division two Exmouth Spartans were beaten 2-1 at West Devon side Winkleigh but Tipton st John won ,by 2 goals to one at Tedburn st Mary's Barley park and Otterton had the better of a high scoring game running out 6-5 victor's over Clyst Valley reserves at Winslade park .In division nine Ex Don's won 2-0 against Hemyock reserves but Exmouth Rovers lost  3-2 to City Raiders second's ,both games played at the Commons ground's .
