A round up of this weekend’s local football matches

In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Town missed out on the chance to go top of the table when they lost 2-1 in a close game at Cornish side Falmouth Town and with just seconds left before the final whistle they thought they'd leveled the score but the goal was given offside.

In the Peninsula league east Sidmouth Town go top after a 3-1 victory over Crediton Utd at Manstone lane but Axminster Town remain firmly rooted at the bottom after a 6-2 thrashing at Tigers Way by visitors Newton Abbot Spurs, Okehampton Argyle continue their chase for a promotion spot with a 2-0 at Bovey Traceys Mill Marsh Park but Honiton Town lost ground after a 3-2 defeat at Plymouth side Elburton Villa.
In the Devon A &S league Topsham Town drew 2 all at Plymstock Utd while in the Devon county cup Ottery St Mary earned a replay after a 1 all draw at St Martins,Beer Albion convincingly beat Ipplepen Athletic 4-1 away, Budleigh Salterton go through to the next round after a 5-2 victory over Kingsteington Athletic at Greenway lane and Alphington fc beat visiting Totnes S C 3-1 at Church road.

In the Devon and Exeter league first division Lympstone Utd lost heavily to Exeter University 3rds 8-2 at Duckes Meadow but East Budleigh won 2-1 at west devon side Hatherleigh, In division 2 Exmouth Spartans easily beat Broadclyst 5-2 at the Commons ground and Dawlish Utd had a runaway 6-0 victory over Farway Utd at Eastlee  while in division 7 Exe Utd drew 2 all at Phoenix FC at their Uplowman ground.
