In local rugby on Saturday South west premier league side Exmouth Çoçkles once again came from behind to get a bonus point victory over Drybrook by 24-7 at the Imperial ground and remain third in the table while league leaders Exeter university kept their 100% record with a hard earned victory over visiting Weston super mare by 39 points to 33.
In the south west one division Sidmouth narrowly lost to Thornbury by 25 -23 at the Blackmore field and Crediton went down 57-36 in a high scoring game at Newent.
In the Western counties league bottom club Honiton were beaten 31-14 by leaders Wilveliscombe at Allhallows, Teignmouth went down 24-20 at Bitton park to Cornish visitors Wadebridge Camels and Tiverton also lost at home to Dutchy side Truro.
In the Devon and Cornwall division Withycombe were beaten 23-14 at fellow strugglers Newquay hornets, Cullompton went down 27-22 to home side Plymstock Albion Oaks but North Tawton won 31-10 at Butts park against visitors Liskeard Looe and Topsham went back to the top of the league with a great victory over Torquay Athletic at the recreation ground by 41points to 26.
