In local rugby on Saturday in the South west premier division Exmouth Cockles started their home game with league leaders Hornets with a bang and scored 3 quick tries to lead 19 -0 after only 10 mins but faided later and were eventually beaten 31- 26.

In local rugby on Saturday in the South west Premier Division Exmouth Cockles started their home game with league leaders Hornets with a bang and scored 3 quick tries to lead 19 -0 after only 10 mins but faided later and were eventually beaten 31- 26.

In the Southwest One Sidmouth lost again this time to fellow Devon side Crediton by 19 points to 5 at the Blagdon Ground.

In the Western Counties League Teignmouth narrowly lost at second placed Chard  26-22 , with Tiverton also loosing quite heavily by 40 points to 7 away to Somerset side Burnham on Sea.

Winless and and bottom of the table Honiton were beaten again this time by Paignton 24-7 at Allhallows and finally in the Cornwall and Devon Division Withycombe continued their winning run with a 26 - 8 victory over Veor at Raleigh Park while improving Cullompton beat leaders Topsham 17-8 at Stafford Park.
