Local rugby results from the weekend

After last weekends rest weekend, here's this weekends local rugby results.

In local rugby on Saturday in the Regional one south west after last week's cup defeat Exmouth Cockels lost their unbeaten league record when they were beaten 38-21 by Brixham at Anstey park while in the Regional two Topsham of the table Topsham kept their 100% record in a high scoring game beating North Petherton 57-49 at Beggars Brook, Tiverton had a convincing 40 points to 12 victory over Teignmouth at Bolham road to stay second, in the local derby game Okehampton gained bragging rights over neighbours Crediton with a 24-17 win at Exhibition way but Cullompton narrowly lost 14-12 to visitors Wadebridge camels at Stafford Park while Newton Abbot lost 43-18 at Truro s St Clements Hill .

In Counties western west division one Paignton had a narrow 32-30 victory over visiting Pirates Amateurs at Queens park while in Counties two Devon league leaders Torquay had a away walk over win against Withycombe, Honiton had a convincing 59-0 away victory at south Devon side Dartmouth and Exeter Saracens beat local rivals Topsham second fifteen 26-17 at the Bonfire field.

In the Counties 3 Devon north and east Tiverton Quins were awarded a away walk over win over Exeter Athletic , New Cross beat Okehampton seconds at Oaklands and Exeter Athletic won at Teignmouth second fifteen.
