Exmouth Cockles maintained their winning form with a narrow 17-15 victory over visitors Lydney at Imperial Road and now move up to seventh in the Regional One South West Division.

In local rugby on Saturday Exmouth Cockles maintained their winning form with a narrow 17-15 victory over visitors Lydney at Imperial Road and now move up to seventh in the Regional One South West Division while in Regional Two Sidmouth had a comfortable 24-3 away win at bottom club Sherborne but Teignmouth were thrashed 62-5 by league leaders St Austell at Bitton Park.

In the Counties One Western West Cullompton retained their 100% record at the top of the division with a hard fought 26-20 victory in Cornwall over third placed Pirates Amateurs but second placed Topsham had an easier time beating bottom club Falmouth 41-15 also in the Dutchy.

In the Counties 3 Devon Withycombe s game at Honiton was postponed due to a frozen pitch but Exeter Saracens match survived and they were rewarded with a 45-5 victory over visiting Ivybridge Second Fifteen.

Crediton, Tiverton and Exeter Athletics games were all victims of the weather.
