Rundown of the weekends rugby results
In local rugby on Saturday in the Regional One South West Exmouth Cockels push for promotion faltered for the second weekend after a narrow one point defeat at home to Launceston by 39-38 but Sidmouth continued with their run of good form with a 32-19 victory at Marlborough.
In Regional Two Topsham continued with their 100 % record with a 61-14 win over Teignmouth at Bitton Park while at Oaklands Park Okehampton narrowly beat visiting Tiverton 12-10 to leapfrog them into second place. Crediton easily overcame bottom club Newton Abbot 71-14 at Rackerhayes and Cullompton convincingly beat Truro 37-0 at Stafford Park
In the Counties One Western West Paignton win 27-5 at north cornish side Bude while in Counties Two Devon Top of the league Torquay Athletic overwhelmed Dartmouth 88-21 at the Recreation Ground, Withycombe's improved form continued with a comprehensive 40-5 victory over Topsham Seconds at the Bonfire Field, Exeter Saracens beat visiting South Molton 21-6 at Exhibition Way and Honiton had a 31-5 home victory over Exmouth Quins at Allhallows.
Finally in Counties Three Devon North and East New Cross beat neighbours Newton Abbot Second Fifteen 45-7 at Meadowcroft while North Tawton were given an away victory over Exeter Engineer's.
