In local rugby on Saturday in the Regional One South West Exmouth Cockles retained their 100% record with a comfortable 33-3 win over bottom club Okehampton at the Imperial Ground, after a slow start the Cockles took charge of the game helped by some poor decisions from the visitors to take another bonus point victory.

In Regional Two newly promoted Topsham continue their excellent start in the higher division with a  convincing 26-16 win at Somerset side North Petherton while fellow new boys Cullompton also won beating visitors Wadebridge Camels 26-12 at Stafford Park.

In the same division Sidmouth won 28-16 over fellow Devon side Teignmouth at the Blackmore Field and Crediton thumped visiting Burnham on Sea 68-5 at Exhibition Road.

In the Counties One Western West Tiverton lost 28-15 at South Hams side Kingsbridge while in Counties 2 Devon Withycombe retain their unbeaten record with a 29-7 victory at Plymouth Argaum, Exeter Saracens beat visiting Ivybridge Second Fifteen 28-14 at the Exhibition Ground but Honiton lost at Allhallows to visitors Torquay by 31points to 10.

Finally in Counties 3 Devon North and East Exeter Athletic lost to visitors New Cross 21-14 at Oil Mill Lane and Topsham won the battle of the reserve sides beating Sidmouth Quins 57-10 at the Bonfire Field with Teignmouth Seconds having a home walkover win over Torrington.
