In local rugby on Saturday Exmouth Çoçkles made a great comeback against Cambourne, trailing by 24 points to 6 at the break they scored 4 unanswered trys after the restart to gain a bonus point victory by 30 points to 24 and remain third in the premier league.

Exeter University remain top with comprehensive 40 points to 5 win at Drybrook.

In SouthWest One Sidmouth were without a fixture but Crediton lost ground with a narrow defeat at Blagdon going down 19-16 to Lydney.

In the Western Counties Division Teignmouth were beaten 27-7 at Cornish side Truro and Honiton lost heavily away also in the Dutchy to Falmouth going down 59-29 but Tiverton salvaged a 22 all draw at Wiviliscombe.

In Devon & Cornwall League, the local derby game at Raleigh park between Withycombe and Topsham finished with a 24-0 victory for the visitors who now top the division also in the same league Cullompton beat previous leaders Pirates Amateurs at home by 32-12 and North Tawton had a landslide victory at Hayle winning 53-3.
