A positive case of avian influenza has been confirmed in Teignbridge.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed at a premises near Exminster, Teignbridge, Devon.

A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone has been put in place around the premises. Further information about this case and the latest information is available at www.gov.uk/birdflu.

An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory biosecurity measures remains in force across Great Britain.

All bird keepers should remain vigilant and follow stringent biosecurity measures as detailed on www.gov.uk/birdflu in addition to following any Protection/Surveillance Zone restrictions in their area to prevent future outbreaks.
