On Saturday evening the neighbourhood team, supported by a specialist passive drugs dog, and other colleagues, conducted a 'Pubs Against Drugs' operation in Dawlish and Teignmouth.
Possession of illicit drugs and evidence of drug use were observed in 5 of the 7 pubs entered, after a number of positive stop and searches were made.
Possession and supply offences will be investigated for several individuals and conversations will be had with licensing on how to support premises to meet their licensing objectives around preventing crime and disorder.
The will look to carry out these operations regularly in the Teignbridge area.
