Liberal Democrat Martin Wrigley has secured a victory in the Newton Abbot seat, defeating Conservative Anne Marie Morris.
Anne Marie Morris previously won the seat in 2019 with a 17,501-vote majority and had served as the MP for the constituency since 2010. However, she had the party whip withdrawn twice, in 2017 and 2022, and sat as an independent during those periods. In January 2022, she notably voted with Labour in support of a move to cut VAT on energy bills.
