From 1 June 2025, the cost of parking at Torbay Hospital's sites is increasing for those who pay.
The income from parking goes directly to the Trust and helps support its car parks and services. Prices are reviewed and updated regularly to ensure they cover their costs. The changes bring car parking charges in line with other Trusts in Devon and Cornwall.
Free parking remains available for lots of people, including:
- People receiving cancer treatment who are making daily or frequent visits for the treatment of cancer (surgical intervention, radiotherapy, SACT)
- Relatives of people who are acutely unwell, typically in those in the intensive care unit or who require high dependence care
- Relatives of people on end-of-life care pathways
- Unpaid carers who are visiting the person they care for or supporting the person they care for to attend an appointment
- People with a disability – please ensure that you display your registered disabled blue badge for the duration of your stay
- Outpatient attendees who attend hospital for an appointment at least three times within a month and for an overall period of at least three months. A ‘month’ is defined as a period of 30 days
- Parents of children in hospital
- People visiting the bereavement office or collecting a death certificate.
Some people in receipt of certain state benefits may also be entitled to a refund of their parking costs and travel expenses and discounts are also available for frequent visitors. More information is available on this page
