Torbay Council have opened a consultation to find out about your experiences of childcare provision and early years support in Torbay.
They are inviting parents and carers to share your needs and experiences of childcare in the area. The consultation refers to all types of childcare. This includes care of children from birth all the way to school age children who may attend holiday clubs.
The information gathered will help them improve childcare provision in the Bay. The Council want to ensure that there are enough high-quality childcare places at the times and in the areas that families need them.
The survey takes between five and 10 minutes to complete and all answers are confidential. This survey is for residents of Torbay only.
Cllr Nick Bye, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services for Torbay Council said: “We understand the importance of high-quality childcare and how vital it is to families. This years’ consultation will help us further understand people’s childcare needs and how childcare is being used across the Bay. We want to hear about the challenges that parents and carers are facing.
“The information will help us decide how and where to allocate funding and support to ensure families have access to the childcare they need. I strongly encourage families who need or currently use childcare or early years services to take part in the consultation.’’
To take part in the survey, people should visit the consultation pages of our website at Consultations - Torbay Council.
The survey will close on 18 July.
