Officers investigating a collision between a car and a mobility scooter in Torquay have been informed that the injured scooter rider has since died from his injuries.
The collision took place at the Newton Road junction with Shiphay Lane at 9.15am on Wednesday 28 August.
The collision involved a silver Citroen C3 and a mobility scooter.
As a result of the collision a 79-year-old local man was taken to Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital with injuries thought to be life-threatening. Sadly, he has since passed away as a result of injuries sustained during the collision. His next of kin are aware.
