Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Torquay in which an elderly pedestrian died.
Emergency services were called around 4.20 pm on Thursday 9 January after a red Citroen C3 was in collision with a woman within Marks & Spencer car park at The Willows.
The woman, in her 80s and from Bovey Tracey, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital. Sadly, the woman died later the same evening in hospital.
The male driver from Paignton was not injured.
A section of the car park was closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and to allow for the recovery of the vehicle.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and would like to speak with any witnesses or anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam.
