Exmouth RNLI volunteer crews commit significant personal time to their training to ensure they can be ready to respond whenever they are needed.

Yesterday, some of the crew conducted a comprehensive exercise simulating the location and subsequent assistance to an individual (played by another crew member) who had injured themselves whilst attempting to fix their broken-down boat.

The volunteers, onboard the Inshore Lifeboat the George Bearman II, had to first locate the casualty, then administer appropriate casualty care and finally tow the disabled vessel and casualty back to the safety of Exmouth Marina.
