Experience the thrills of the RAF in Exeter city centre

The RAF is landing in the heart of Exeter city centre for a weekend of free activities, live demos and hands-on fun.

The RAF Exeter Town Show takes place on Exeter’s Cathedral Green on the weekend of Friday 4 and Saturday 5 April and promises to be an action-packed family event.

Whether an aviation enthusiast, a thrill-seeker, or just looking for some family fun this event has something for everyone.

There’ll be a chance to climb into a Typhoon cockpit and feel what it’s like to be a fighter pilot. Step inside, snap a photo, and soak up the thrill!

People can take on a number of high-energy sports challenges and put their speed and coordination to the ultimate test.

Visit First Aid & CPR Workshops and learn life-saving skills from the RAF’s expert medics. Who knows when they might come in handy?

There’s the Survival Challenge where event-goers will be able to see if they can handle a real-life rescue situation.  People will be asked to jump in a dinghy and put their survival instincts to work.

There’ll be a chance to meet the RAF’s STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Youth teams to discover exciting career and education opportunities, as well as an opportunity to enjoy live music from the RAF band and even have a go at the drums!

This is a chance to get up close and personal with the incredible world of the Royal Air Force, chat with real servicemen and women, explore the diverse careers within the RAF, and take part in activities that will educate, inspire, and entertain.
