RNLI lifeguards began patrols this weekend and will now be on the beach until the end of Easter from 10:00–18:00.
It’s already been a busy day for the Dawlish area, with Easter inductions starting for the returning lifeguards, including fitness testing, lifeguard skills assessments, and knowledge checks.
Exmouth beach has also seen early action—casualty care was provided to a woman who collapsed, and lifeguards responded to a jet ski incident, where the occupants were seen waving for help following an engine failure. Exmouth RNLI’s inshore lifeboat (ILB) towed the craft safely back to shore.
Please remember to always swim between the red and yellow flags, and speak to the lifeguards if you need any help or advice.
