Ottery St Mary Town Council are applying to build a PlayZone at Strawberry Lane. PlayZones are safe, inclusive and accessible outdoor facilities that bring communities together through recreational forms of sport.
The facility will be managed by the Council and include floodlights to allow year round use. Bookings will be managed via an online system with Key coded entry ensuring only authorised users can access.
Regular bookings available for sports like netball or walking football.
Project funded by the Football Foundation & the Council. More details about what a playzone is can be found on the Football Foundation website.
Community Engagement is at the heart of this programme. Facilities will be designed in partnership with local communities to ensure that the final design and surface works for football and other sports and activities identified for that area. Activation and management of the space is as important as the facility itself. PlayZones will be available for community use day and night, all year round.
Please can you complete this short survey to help us understand which sports members of the parish wish to play. This information will help to ensure we have the most appropriate surface for the PlayZone. https://forms.office.com/e/YqAR429GQZ
