A new summer programme of Red Coat Guided Tours has been released and there are some exciting new tours.
The summer programme starts on Tuesday 1 April and all tours are totally free.
New for 2025 are:
· Exeter Blitz tour – 4 May, 11.15am and 3pm
· VE Day and After talk – 8 May, 11am (there is a £5 charge for this event)
· Tales of the Land and Songs of the Sea – 8 June, 12 noon

Red Coat Guided Tours is a free service provided by Exeter City Council. It enables visitors to enjoy Exeter’s rich history with a guided tour of the city. In 2019 the Tours received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, and last year they were awarded a Travellers’ Choice Award from Tripadvisor
Guided walking tours operate daily with a wide variety of subjects charting the history of the great city of Exeter. Knowledgeable Red Coat guides bring history to life with guided tours of the city.
People can choose from a variety of tours including Exeter Old & New, Medieval Exeter, Ghosts & Legends and Exeter’s Historic Quayside. There’s also Tudor Exeter, Exeter’s City Wall, Forgotten Exeter, Royalty in Exeter, and lots more.
