People in Exeter are being made aware of a new telephone number to make payments to the City Council.
From Tuesday 24 September the City Council’s automated telephone number changes to 01392 665885, as the local authority changes to a new income management system.
The new system accepts, processes, stores and transmits card information securely in line with PCI DSS industry standards.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards with a focus on improving payment account security throughout the transaction process. The standards are administered and managed by an independent body that was created by the major payment card brands (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB).
