Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian within the grounds of Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Police were notified at around 10.35am on Friday 17 October to the collision involving a black Toyota Yaris and a female pedestrian.
As a result of the collision, the woman – aged in her 70s – sustained serious head and leg injuries and was taken to hospital. Her next of kin are aware.
A road closure was put in place whilst specialist roads policing officers conducted an investigation, and officers wish to thank members of the public for their patience during the disruption
