In local football on Easter Monday Exmouth Town smashed 9 unanswered goals against Millbrook at southern road to keep their promotion hopes alive and much now rest on the result of the crunch home game with Tavistock Utd at southern road on Wednesday night .

In the Peninsula league east Crediton Utd were somewhat unlucky to loose 1-0 to second placed Okehampton Argyle at Simmons Park. While Axminster town thrashed the students from Plymouth Marjons by 8 goals to 0 at Tiger way and Honiton town narrowly beat Elburton Villa 2-1 at Allhallows, but Elmore lost 5-2 at Horsdon park to Dartmouth Utd .

Finally in the Joma Devon and Exeter leagues Upottery beat Newtown reserves 4-1 at Newton st Cyers in division one. While Otterton and Tedburn st Mary played out a 1 all draw in the league cup at Stantyway
