A round up of the final local cricket results of this season

With the Devon cricket league coming to a close on Saturday in the Premier League Exmouth finish in 5th position after a 81 run defeat by Cornwood at their Oak park ground while Sidmouth hammered relegated Plympton cc by 247 runs at Harewood park , Exeter were beaten at Kensham park by 5 wickets to new league champions Bradninch/ Kentisbeare but Paignton won by 7 wickets at Bovey Tracey.

In division A Kilmington beat visiting Torquay/Kingskerswell by 4 wickets at the memorial ground and Abbotskerswell were relegated after being beaten by visitors Hatherleigh by 4 wickets at Two Mile Oak .

In the B division Cullompton were crowned champions after beating Teignmouth/Shaldon by 105 runs at Duke Street, second placed Barton were beaten by 5 wickets at the Holt  home of Budleigh Salterton , Clyst St George lost by 40 runs in North Devon to Bideford/Westward Ho! while Bovey Tracey second eleven beat near neighbours Chudleigh by 6 wickets at the Brook sports centre and  Stoke Gabriel won by 4 wickets over visitors Ipplepen at Eastley .

In division C east Seaton had a convincing 6 wicket victory over Exmouth second eleven at the Maer,  Ottery St Mary had a surprise 5 wicket victory over league champions Braunton at Strawberry lane but Alphington/ Countess Wear lost by 7 wickets at Heathcoat second eleven.

Finally in division D east Upottery were confirmed as league champions after a comfortable 150 run victory over Ottery St Mary seconds at Glebe park, Topsham St James had a 47 run win at Shobrooke park and Clyst Hydon beat North Devon side Barnstaple/ Pilton by 54 runs at their Raleigh Meadow ground.
