In the Scott Richards Devon League Cup Budleigh Salterton lost by 4 goals to 3 at Teignmouth while in the Joma Devon and Exeter League Premier Division Colyton were held to a 1 all draw by Lyme Regis at Peace Memoral Ground and in Division One Upottery hammered visitors Halwill 9-2 at Glebe Park.
In Division Two Otterton won by 4 goals to 1 at Tedburn St Mary's and finally in division nine Exmouth Rovers lost 4-0 to Feniton Development Eleven but Ex Don's managed a 2 all draw against Cranford Utd Reserves, both games were played at the Commons Ground's.
In rugby's Devon Cup Final Exmouth Cockles were beaten 54-32 by league champions Exeter University at Imperial Road. With just a narrow one point lead at the break and a close fought second half looking likely and although the Cockles never gave up in the end the superior fitness of the students told and they eventually ran out worthy winners.
