In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town picked up 3 valuable points in Cornwall against an in form Helston side by 2 goals to 1 in a game where some of the refereeing decisions were very questionable.

In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town picked up 3 valuable points in Cornwall against an in form Helston side by 2 goals to 1 in a game where some of the refereeing decisions were very questionable. Levi Landricombe gave Town the lead after 18 mins and Ben Steer added another goal soon after to put them on top but with Tavistock and Mousehole winning mid week games they drop to third place and out of the promotion place's.

In the Peninsula League East Sidmouth Town were without a fixture but Ottery St Mary's poor run of form continued with a 7-0 thrashing by Ivybridge at Washbrook Meadow.

Honiton Town enjoyed a narrow 1-0 home victory over visitors Crediton Utd, Axminster Town were held to a 1 all draw at Torridgeside and Cullompton Rangers lost 2-1 to Torrington AFC at Speeds Meadow.

In the Scott Richards Devon League there were no local results but in the Joma Devon and Exeter Leagues Beer Albion easily won 5-1  at Horsdon Park over home side Elmore Reserves in the Premier Division but Lympstone Utd lost 2-1 to Alphington Seconds at the Chronicles and East Budleigh could only manage a 2 all draw at home to Newtown Reserves in the First Division.

In Division Two Exmouth Spartans lost by 3 goals to 2 at Newton St Cyers but Tipton St John had an easy 5-2 victory visitors Chagford.

Finally in Division Nine Exmouth Rovers lost heavily to Cranbrook Reserves by 6 goals to 2 and Ex Don's went down 2-1 to Feniton Development Eleven, both games were played at the Commons Ground's.
