In local football on Saturday in the Southern League One South Exmouth Town picked up a valuable 3 points at Bishops Cleeve with a late winner in added time from the ever reliable Tom Bath while in the Peninsula League East, Sidmouth town return to the top of the league with a 2-0 win at lowly Middlezoy Rovers, Cullompton Rangers go back to second after a convincing 7-1 victory over Crediton Utd at Lords Meadow with Stoke Gabriel/Torbay Police moving up to fourth with a massive 8-0 win over bottom club Axminster Town at the Churchward Ground while Bovey Tracey beat Bishops Lydeard 1-0 away and Okehampton Argyle progress to the next round of the league cup with a narrow 5-4 victory at Teignmouth FC.
In the A & S Devon League Topsham Town lost 3-1 to visiting Ottery St Mary at the Coronation Ground while in the County Cup Alphington FC lost 1-0 to Plymstock Utd at Dean Cross, Beer Albion were beaten 5-2 by North Devon side Fremington FC at Stovar Lane and Budleigh Salterton went down 3-1 at Sidmouth Town Second Eleven at Manstone Lane.
In the Devon and Exeter Premier League Upottery beat Clyst Valley 2-1 at Glebe Park with Colyton FC winning 4-2 at Exeter University Reserves, while in the First Division East Budleigh won 4-2 against West Devon side Hatherleigh Town at the Recreation Ground.
In Division two Seaton Town were well beaten 7-1 at Clyst Valley Reserves at Winslade Park while in Division Three Tipton St John lost 1-0 at Halwill FC at the Junction Ground.
Finally in Division Seven Exe Utd beat Bradninch FC 5-2 at Sudbury, Exmouth Town U 25s lost 5-2 to Westexe Park Rangers at the Maer Grounds with Axmouth Utd going down 6-1 to Priory FC at Roman Road.
