Withycombe progress to the next round of the Devon junior Cup with an well deserved 36-14 victory over league champions Tavistock at Raleigh Park.

In local rugby Withycombe progress to the next round of the Devon Junior Cup with an well deserved 36-14 victory over league champions Tavistock at Raleigh Park and with an away win over Exeter Saracens next Saturday it would give them a home semi final draw with South Molton at Raleigh Park.

In the Senior cup Sidmouth were thrashed by favorites Brixham 71-24 at Anstey Park.

In football, in the Southern League One South Exmouth Town were held to a 1 all draw at Bashley' s GlenMex Stadium.

Having taken the lead in the 52nd minute through an excellent strike by Aaron Denny, Town were caught napping by Bashleys  Monk who equalised for the host some 10 minutes later and with both sides having several chances to win the game a draw was probably a fair reflection. Town now have a chance to get 3 points when Bideford visit Southern Road on Easter Monday.
