A round up of all the local rugby action from the weekend
In local rugby on Saturday in the Regional one south west Exmouth Cockels were beaten in a close fought game in north Devon by Barnstaple 21-17 at Pottington road but did gain a losing bonus point. While in Regional two league leaders Sidmouth narrowly beat Truro 41-36 in Cornwall while second placed Crediton also just edged out Wellington 27-24 away with Topsham comfortable beating Teignmouth 57-27 at the Bonfire field and Cullompton made it a clean sweep for the Devon sides with a 32-12 victory at Somerset side Chard .
In the Counties one western west Tiverton move up to second place with a convincing 52-0 home win over visitors St Ives at Bolham road while in the Counties two Devon Honiton were given a home walkover against bottom club Ivybridge seconds, Withycombe surprisingly lost 12-0 to South Molton at Raleigh Park but Exeter Saracens beat visiting North Tawton 39-25 at the Exhibition fields .
Finally in the Counties three north and east division Teignmouth second fifteen lost heavy against Okehampton seconds by 52-3 at Bitton park , Exeter Athletic were beaten 28-20 against Cullompton reserves at Oil Mill lane but New Cross won 27-7 at Crediton Quins .
