Exmouth Cockles loose out in Devon Senior Cup

On Saturday in the Devon senior cup Exmouth Cockles were narrowly beaten 27-22 by Devonport Services at the Rectory. After a enthralling first 80 minutes the scores were tied at 22 points all and the game went into extra time only for Service's to get the winning uncoverted try late on but credit to the Cockles for contributing to an excellent final. On Sunday in the Devon intermediate cup Topsham somewhat surprisingly beat league champions Sidmouth by 33 points to 23 in another exciting game at the Blackmore field.
