A round up of this weekend rugby fixtures

In local rugby on Saturday in the Regional one south west Exmouth Cockles lost their unbeaten record when they were beaten by 19 points to 3 at newly promoted St Austell at their Tregorrick road ground and in Regional two Topsham were knocked off top spot by second placed Sidmouth by 29 points to 25 in a close fought game at the Bonfire field. Also in the same division new boys Cullompton moved up the table with a  66-22 victory at bottom club Burnham on Sea with Crediton winning 46-41 in a high scoring game at Somerset side Chard but Teignmouth were well beaten on their visit to Wellington going down 55-14 .

In the Counties one Western West Tiverton enjoyed a 27-15 victory over visitors Paignton at Bonham Road while in Counties two Devon Withycombe lost their 100 % record when they were narrowly beaten 31-27 by a strong Barnstaple Athletic side at Raleigh Park but Exeter Saracens gained a comfortable 44 -19 victory over visitors Honiton at the Exhibition ground .

Finally in the Counties 3 Devon north and east Exeter Athletic were well beaten 69-15 at Crediton Quins  and Sidmouth Quins lost 41-26 to visiting Okehampton second fifteen at the Blackmore field .
