In the South West one division Sidmouth were well beaten at Devonport Services by 67-19 but Crediton had a good win at the Blagdon ground overcoming St Austell by 19 points to 14, while in the western counties league Honiton got their second win of the season with a 38-33 home victory over visitors Penryn and Teignmouth beat second from bottom Falmouth 31-11 in Cornwall but Tiverton lost heavily away to Chard by 50 points to 13.
Finally in the Devon and Cornwall division after a good first half performance against league leaders Pirates Amateurs Withycombe were eventually beaten 31- 12 at Raleigh park but Cullompton ran out comfortable winners over visitors Torquay Athletic by 82-15 at Stafford park and Topsham remain second after they were given a walk over victory against bottom club Hayle .
