In the South West One Sidmouth kept up their recently improving form with a convincing 36-5 victory over struggling Old Patasians at the Blackmore Ground but Crediton were narrowly beaten 28-24 by Somerset side Wellington.
In the Western Counties Division Tiverton had a home victory by 29 points to 10 over visitors Paignton but Honiton remain bottom of the League without a win after loosing 36-15 at North Devon side Bideford, Teignmouths game at Bitton Park against Penryn was abandoned.
Finally in the Devon and Cornwall Division Topsham easily beat visitors Plymstock Albion Oaks 52-28 at the Bonfire Field but remain one point behind leaders Pirates Amateurs who won at Torquay Athletic, Cullompton kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 16 points to 8 victory over Liskeard/Looe at Stafford Park and Withycombe were given a home win at Raleigh Park when at the last minute visiting Hayle were unable to raise a side.
