In the Western Counties League Teignmouth had a surprisingly easy victory over fifth placed Chard by 46-3 at Bitton Park and Tiverton beat visitors Burnham on Sea 38-25 at Bolham Road but the result of the day went to Honiton who registered their first win of the season beating Paignton 35-31 at Queen's Park.
Finally in the Devon and Cornwall Division Withycombe got back to winning form with a narrow 32-27 victory in Cornwall over Veor and Topsham kept up the pressure on the league leaders with a close run win over third placed Cullompton by 22 points to 20 at the Bonfire Field.
