In local rugby on Saturday in the regional one south west Exmouth Cockels went back to the top of the division after a 34-14 win at Ivybridge and the help of Sidmouth who beat previous leaders Launceston 39- 19 at the Blackmore ground.
In regional two SW Topsham remain top after a 33-22 victory over second placed Crediton at the Bonfire field and retain their 100% record with Tiverton moving up to runner up spot after they beat visiting Truro with a record score of 105 points to 14 at Bolham road. Cullompton move up the table with a hard earned 40-26 win at Teignmouth at Bitton park and Okehampton move up to third with a 35-12 victory over Wadebridge camels at Oaklands but Newton Abbot staying fixed at the bottom of the league after loosing 37-19 at Winscombe .
In Counties one western west Paignton drew 29 points each at Cornish side St Ives while in Counties 2 Devon Withycombe beat near neighbours Exmouth Quins 24-13 at Imperial road , Honiton easily overcame visitors Exeter Saracens by 60 points to 12 at Allhallows and Torquay Athletic remain top of the league with a convincing 40- 12 victory at Plymouth side OPMs .
There were two late results in the Counties 3 Devon north and east division with Crediton Quins putting a triple score over Exeter Athletic winning 107 points to nil at Blagdon but Exeter Engineer's beat Tiverton second fifteen 39-31 at the college ground.
