Rundown of the weekends football results

In local football on Saturday in the Southern League One South Exmouth Town climb to second place with a confidence 2-0 victory at Didcot Town with goals from Tom Bath and Issac McCue late on in the game.

In the Peninsula League East Okehampton Argyle go top after a 3-1 win over visiting Bridport FC at Simmons Park, Honiton beat visiting Teignmouth 2-1 at Mountbatten Park, Newton Abbot Spurs moved up to third with a confidence 3-0 victory over Bishop's Lydeard at Marsh Lane but Sidmouth Town lost ground at the top when they lost 3-2 at Bovey Tracey's Mill Marsh Park while Crediton Utd were beaten 2-0 at Lords Meadow by visitors Stoke Gabriel.

In the A &S Devon League Alphington remain top after a 2-0 victory over near neighbours Topsham Town at Church Road, Beer Albion beat visiting Newtown FC 3-2 at Stovar Long Lane but Budleigh Salterton lost 1-0 to Thorverton FC at Greenway Lane and Ottery St Mary were well beaten by 4 goals to 0 by Exeter University at Duckes Meadow.
