A Torquay home has been issued with a partial closure order following consultation with Devon and Cornwall Police.
The order was issued to a property on Ellacombe Church Road after a successful application from Torbay Councils anti-social behaviour team at Newton Abbot Magistrates court on 19 November 2025.
The action came as a direct result of frequent reports of anti-social behaviour, noise complaints, reports of disturbance at the address.
The Council hope this offers reassurance to other residents who have been impacted by the anti-social behaviour.
The closure order states that the house be partially closed in accordance with the Anti-Social Behaviour and Policing Act 2014 for three months. It is a criminal offence to breach a closure notice, and Torquay Police will take action against those that fail to comply with the order.
