Andrew Holland from Torquay and Jason Robins from Teignmouth have both been sentenced to four years each for a staggering 44 burglaries which have taken place over a 9-month period.
Many of the locations targeted by Holland and Robins included several service stations, golf clubs, takeaways, cafes, garages, shops, and other commercial business around Southwest and beyond.
Local businesses from the Ashburton and Buckfastleigh area were targeted during the month of October 2024.
The businesses, including Pear Tree Garage, Strawberry Fields, Mead Garage, Butterfly Sanctuary and South Devon Railway were identified victims and through an extensive investigation these local businesses have now seen these offenders being brought to justice.
This has had a significant impact on the community and will not be tolerated, Police will continue to work with suitable partnerships to bring offenders to justice to prevent this from happening again.
