Residents are being asked to give their views on life in Exeter and the services they receive in the Council’s annual Residents’ Survey.
The survey explores perceptions of living in Exeter and the services provided by the city council.
Questions will examine satisfaction levels with the local area and with the council, including how it runs services, provides value for money and how it keeps residents informed.
All residents will be able to take part by completing an online survey on the council’s consultation website: Resident Survey: 2026 | Engage Exeter
Independent research company Enventure Research will conduct the survey in person and by telephone on behalf of the council.
Enventure will question residents across the 13 wards in Exeter to provide a representative sample.
Council Leader Phil Bialyk said understanding the views of residents is a key priority for the council.
He said: “We are committed to listening to residents to understanding what is most important to them, and how we can improve our services.
“We want to hear what people think of living in Exeter and the services we provide, including parks and open spaces, culture, leisure and clean streets.
“The feedback we receive helps us to set priorities and provides valuable evidence about what is most important to the communities we serve.
“The survey has provided very valuable information to the council over the last couple of years, and I would urge people to spare a bit of their time to take in this year’s survey.”
The Residents’ Survey 2026 is open from Wednesday 8 July until Wednesday 19 August.
The results of the survey will be released by the Council later in the year.
