Exeter Pride is back and bigger than ever this year.
Now in its 18th year, this annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer communities is the biggest free pride event in the South West.
Taking place on Saturday 9 May, the march will start at 12pm with a whole host of activities planned around the city centre, people are being advised to arrive no later than 11:30am to get involved.
The march route has been doubled for 2026, meaning the event will reach even more members of the community.
Starting at the St Sidwell’s Community Centre, the route will commence down Sidwell Street, High Street, Fore Street and Bartholomew Street before finishing in Northernhay Gardens.
Following the march, there is a feast of entertainment including two stages in Northernhay Gardens with a diverse range of talent, from local LGBTQ+ artists to live choir and drag performances, which will keep people singing and dancing from 1-6pm.
And if people are planning to make a day of it, there is something to keep everyone satisfied with a plethora of food vendors, and a fully licensed drinks bar to quench thirst in the sun.
Rougemont Gardens will become a dedicated family and community zone, with arts and crafts, workshops, youth-focused sessions, and entertainment for the whole family as well as the return of the Exeter Pride Dog Show, with prizes available for winners.
