Year 6 pupil Polly from Exwick Heights Primary School raised £768 for Devon Wildlife Trust by completing her first triathlon. An Earth Councillor at the school, she took on a swim, cycle and run challenge, more than doubling her fundraising target.
A year 6 pupil at Exwick Heights Primary School is being celebrated after raising £768 for Devon Wildlife Trust by completing her first triathlon.
Polly, who is an Earth Councillor at the school, took on a swim, cycle and run challenge in support of the charity, as part of her Torbay and Devon Civic Award, surpassing her original fundraising target by more than double.
The school and Devon Wildlife Trust praised Polly’s determination and commitment, highlighting her passion for environmental issues and her enthusiasm for supporting wildlife conservation.
Part of the Ted Wragg Trust, Exwick Heights Primary School places a strong emphasis on developing confident, responsible young people who make a positive contribution to their communities.
Across the Trust, schools are committed to sustainability through Climate Action Plans, helping pupils understand environmental challenges and empowering them to take meaningful action in their schools and beyond.
