Local football report from the weekend

By John Hannaford East Devon Radio Sports Reporter

Poor weather once again affected many of our local football matches, here's a round up of the games that were played.

In local football on Saturday most of our fixtures were cancelled due to the weather but Exmouth Town suffered another defeat ,this time a crushing 5-0 loss at Larkhall Athletic which leaves them firmly fixed to the bottom of the Southern league one south division. Going 3 -0 down in the first 30 minutes things only got worse after the break with the host adding two more goals to seal Towns fate.

There were no local fixtures in the Peninsula league east due to waterlogged grounds with just two results in the A&S Devon league where Ottery St Mary won 4-3 at Plymouth Marjons but  Budleigh Salterton were beaten 3-2 at Exeter side Newtown.

There was one result in the  Devon and Exeter league where in division one East Budleigh won 2-0 at home to Lympstone Utd..
